Louino ‘Robi’ Robillard is a community leader and organizer who was raised in Cite Soleil, one of the most marginalized communities in Haiti.
He has helped to launch numerous community-led initiatives around peace-building, youth leadership, and social entrepreneurship, including the Konbit Soley Leve movement, the Cite Soleil Peace Prize, and Fondasyon Ginen. He is on the board of several Haitian organizations including Haiti Communitere and Lakou Lape and supports countless other grassroots social change initiatives across Haiti. He has a Master in Applied Community Change and Peacebuilding from the Future Generations Graduate School, and is considered an expert in contemporary applications of traditional Haitian forms of social mobilization, particularly konbit. His latest initiative has been co-founding the Konbit Bibliyotek Site Soley initiative, which challenges the traditional power dynamics of donors, local leaders, and communities and is setting a new standard for transparency in development initiatives.
